About Us
The Beach opened in 2021 as a hotel, formerly it was Flowerdown House. With 18 rooms, including two that are fully accessible with hoists and wet rooms and an uncarpeted floor to make it easier to use a wheelchair, The Beach provides a very welcoming and restful location for your stay in Weston-super-Mare.
All rooms have an en suite shower room and tea & coffee making with fresh milk provided in small flasks, it's wonderful to have a proper cuppa unspoilt by plastic containers of UHT milk! On that note, the hotel is very conscious of its obligations to our planet and wherever possible, no single-use plastic is used.
You couldn't ask for a better location, the Victorian built hotel is just across the beach lawns from the Promenade and beach diagonally opposite the Tropicana building. There's a small car park, free to use by guests on a first-come-first-served basis.
All floors are serviced by a lift and the lounge on the first floor offers views across the beach and bay, a pleasant and comfortable room with Victorian features from which you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets and views from inside or from either of the two balconies.
The light and airy breakfast room leads to a small garden patio area to the rear of the building which is quite a suntrap and there's a ramp to enter the hotel's main entrance at the front.
Although the hotel has only been open for a relatively short time, it has already built a fantastic reputation for its friendly and welcoming staff who do all they can to make your stay enjoyable and memorable.
