The Winter Gardens Ballroom, Weston-super-Mare

Few places offer such an evocative setting for ballroom dancing than the Winter Gardens Pavilion in Weston-super-Mare.Combining timeless elegance with a stunning seaside backdrop, this iconic venue, rich in history and architectural beauty, has been a hub for social gatherings and dance events for decades. Its grand ballroom, adorned with sparkling chandeliers and a spacious dance floor, provides the perfect setting for dancers of all abilities to glide across the floor in style.

Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner looking to learn the basics, the Winter Gardens hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including regular once-a-month Sunday social dances with a vibrant and welcoming community atmosphere as well as Summer and Winter Evening Balls and a Christmas Tea Dance.

The 2025 Sunday Social prices are £8 per person and tickets are available online or on the door.

Ballroom Nights at Weston-super-Mare's Grand Atlantic Hotel

Wednesday night is ballroom night at the Grand Atlantic Hotel on Weston-super-Mare's seafront. (Please check dates as it is not every Wednesday). Set in the hotel’s beautiful ballroom, these evenings run by Mark and Tracey Helmore, provide the perfect opportunity for dancers of all levels to enjoy classic styles.
Doors open at 7.30pm and dancing is from 8pm until 10:15pm and costs £6.00 per person.

Tea Dances at Weston Museum

Weston Museum holds an afternoon tea dance on the first Saturday of every month - and it comes complete with a cream tea from the museum's onsite Clara's Café. Because the cream tea is part of the deal, advanced booking is required for this event and the cut-off for booking is Thursday at noon on the week of the event. The dancing is run by Paul and Suzy Dance who welcome individuals, groups and couples. The event runs from 2pm until 3.30pm and costs £10 per person.
