About Us

The Grand Atlantic is an old Victorian building built in 1859, originally built as a private school it was then converted to an impressive hotel in 1889.

The hotel has 72 ensuite bedrooms, a mixture of doubles, twins and single rooms spread over four floors. That includes 37 rooms with stunning sea views overlooking Weston Bay and The Grand Pier. 

The hotel has a large car park and is situated close to Weston's main attractions, its shops and train station. The Grand Pier and Tropicana are a stone's throw away.

The beach is directly opposite the hotel.

As you enter the hotel you arrive at a large bright reception area with seating and two good-sized sun lounges to the front of the hotel. It is perfect for a comfortable sit down with a drink after a long journey.

To the right of the reception is the Grand Atlantic's main restaurant, this can cater for up to 120 guests and has views overlooking the Beach Lawns. The hotel offers two and three course set dinners. Please contact the hotel if you would like more information regarding the menus on offer.

Just off the reception area is the Brunel Bar named after the famous Isambard Kingdom Brunel who is thought be one of the greatest figures of the Industrial revolution. The bar is open every day 11am to 11pm and welcomes non-residents.

Within the hotel there are four private function rooms available to hire for special occasions or events. Hotel staff can provide all you need to plan your special event including a resident DJ, buffet menu options


    The Avon Suite seats a maximum of 50 with a small dance floor, this room is ideal for smaller functions. 
    The Wedmore Suite seats a maximum of 60 with a spectacular dome ceiling, this room is bright and airy and perfect for wedding vows.
    The Glastonbury Suite seats a maximum of 150, decorated in art décor style with a sprung dance floor and private bar. 


At the hotel you can pop in for a tea and watch the world go by.  It also caters for private functions, private dining, parties, Christenings, wakes, weddings, meetings and delicious afternoon teas.
