About Us

A Taste of the West Country Comes to Weston

They’ve been featured by the BBC, Sky TV, Channel 4, as well as The Guardian and The Telegraph - and with more than 30 awards under their belt, it’s easy to see why there’s always a buzz when eat:Festivals arrive in town.

Now firmly part of the North Somerset events calendar, these much-loved food festivals bring a fresh energy to Weston-super-Mare and its neighbouring communities. More than just a market, eat:Festivals offer a lively, sociable day out where great food, local stories and a strong sense of place come together.

More Than a Food Festival

At its heart, eat:Festivals is about connection - between producers and visitors, and between communities and the food they enjoy. Expect to meet the makers behind everything from artisan bread and small-batch spirits to locally reared meats and seasonal produce.

This is food with a story. You’re not just buying something delicious - you’re discovering where it comes from, how it’s made, and the passion behind it.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of space to wander, chat and soak it all in. Whether you’re a dedicated foodie or just looking for a great day out by the coast, it’s an experience that feels both vibrant and refreshingly down to earth.

A Foodies Day Out in Weston-super-Mare

Set against the backdrop of Weston’s Italian Gardens, eat:Weston transforms the seafront into a celebration of flavour and creativity. Running from 10am to 4pm, the festivals are free to enter and easy to drop into - no tickets, no booking, just turn up and enjoy.

Expect a carefully curated mix of stalls alongside free entertainment, from live music and DJs to street performers and family-friendly activities. It’s as much about the atmosphere as it is the food. The events are designed with everyone in mind:
•    Plenty of space for browsing and relaxing
•    Fully accessible for wheelchairs, buggies and mobility scooters
•    Dog-friendly, so even four-legged visitors can join in
•    A wide choice of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and alcohol-free options

Eat Local Across North Somerset

While Weston-super-Mare is a highlight, eat:Festivals also pop up in nearby towns including Portishead, Nailsea and Burnham-on-Sea - making it easy to explore more of North Somerset while following the festival trail.

Each location has its own character, but the same ethos runs through them all: championing local producers, supporting independent businesses, and creating welcoming spaces where people can come together.
