About Us
TROPICANA RE:MEMBER is exploration into whether the creative arts can improve well-being, loneliness and memory and what's next for older people in North Somerset. Isolation and loneliness is something many older people face, not to mention in the wake of a worldwide pandemic. Remaining at home all day, opportunity for interaction is limited. The creative arts allow older people to establish and maintain strong connections with others, build confidence, and ensure they continue to communicate effectively.
Providing a safe space to explore the avenues of performing and production arts, the sessions will be catered to the participant's interests. Through the use of singing, dancing, acting, poetry, scriptwriting and many more, this programme aims to demonstrate that older people are incredibly valued in society, welcoming participants aged 65 and above. This is a three day, continuing course.
