Shared Reading groups bring people together through great stories and poems to talk, laugh and share.

How does it work? A group of people, one of them a trained Reader Leader, reads a short story or poem aloud. Then we talk about it in any way we want to. There is no need for group members to read aloud or speak - it's fine just to listen.
Shared Reading is part of The Reader, a national arts charity. Hundreds of Shared Reading groups meet across the country.
