About Us

Hestercombe's gardens will be open until 8pm on Wednesday evenings throughout June, July, August and September!

Enjoy the 50 acres of historic gardens after hours, and see the landscape in a unique way as we leave them open towards dusk - perfect for an after-work or school visit (*except 30th June, 22nd Sept).

Opening night ~ Wednesday 2nd June

To celebrate the first summer late, join our gardens team throughout the day and evening at the Charcoal Burner's Hut to experience charcoal being made in the traditional way, just like a woodsman would have done hundreds of years ago. The chefs will be providing a barbecue into the evening, and artists will be on hand to help make charcoal drawings.

Further info

Food and drink will be available every Wednesday from either our recently refurbished Stables Restaurant and Caffe + Gelato, or out in the gardens (including wood-fired pizzas, barbecues and more on selected dates).

On selected dates, Hestercombe's Edwardian punt will be back out on the Pear Pond, and ready for you to take a ride on! Children and families will also enjoy our brand new natural play area in the Landscape Garden.

Tickets

Booking online is essential via the 'tickets' link. A limited number of tickets will be released for summer late openings within two weeks of each evening opening.

Price

Entry to the gardens will be half-price for non members (free for members). Enjoy free access to all of our summer late openings by joining as a Hestercombe member! (details on the website)

*except Wednesday 30th June & 22nd September.
