About Us
Muddled Muse invites you to a cosy Sapphic Sunday, premiering our new play, 'Sappho Could've Bathed Here', in a sit-down read-through, with artist's market and facilitated community discussions about queer storytelling. An opportunity to give feedback and shape a play's journey.
In the midst of a housing crisis, friends Frankie, Charlotte, Jasmin and Harry are renting a four bedroom house. When Jasmin's "long-term-for-lesbians" girlfriend, Em, is evicted from her own flat, the obvious next step is for Em to U-haul her way in and split the rent five ways.
Set entirely in their grotty shared bathroom, this play explores the fun, antics, bickering & tenderness that occurs when a community is squashed under one roof, and the importance of queer friendship and platonic intimacy; a slice-of-life yet expressive portrayal of those who unwind, overcome and recharge together inside a space that signifies safety and playfulness, where strife can be left on the bathmat…
We look forward to seeing you there!
