About Us
This one day course will take you through the whole process of making one colour linocut, prints will be made by hand and by a press. You will cut your own drawing or one suggested by Aga, working on a single piece of lino (about A5 size).
Tutoring on this course is very much aimed at cutting the patterns and textures and there is plenty of one-to-one time working on developing your ideas and skills. There is a dot work part of workshops which is focusing on cutting with a needle, linocut will be made of plenty of small dots, we will learn how to make shades and gradients. Knowledge of light and shadows is welcome.
