About Us
Turn The Clock Back and Experience The Golden Age of Cinema Like Never Before! Dress to impress in 1920s fashion on Sunday, 16th March 2025, when the Plaza Cinema Weston-super-Mare will host a rare screening of the 1923 silent comedy classic Safety Last! starring Harold Lloyd.
This iconic film will be accompanied by a live performance on the Plaza’s historic Compton organ, offering an authentic glimpse into the cinematic experiences of the 1920s.
Attendees are invited to really get into the spirit and wear 1920s style fancy dress if they wish - although this is not compulsory!
This event marks a significant milestone, as it is the first silent feature film with organ accompaniment to be shown at the Plaza in over 25 years.
The Compton organ is one of only two original cinema Compton organs in the country.
