Safety and Expertise

Adventure doesn’t mean unsafe. The Wild Wookey team is made up of highly qualified instructors with years of caving and climbing experience. Before setting off, you’ll be kitted out with specialist equipment including helmets, harnesses, lights and protective clothing. Full safety briefings ensure you’re confident and ready, and your guides are there every step of the way to encourage and support you.

Who Can Take Part?

Wild Wookey is ideal for anyone with a good level of fitness and a love of adventure. Participants must be at least 14 years old, and while no previous caving experience is required, you should be prepared for climbing, crawling and confined spaces. It’s perfect for adventurous families with teenagers, groups of friends, couples looking for something different, or even team-building days with a twist. Children between the ages of 14 and 17 must be accompanied by their parent or legally appointed guardian.
