About Us

Mendip Activity Centre is the ultimate adventure playground and it is situated only 15 minutes from Weston-super-Mare.

The outdoor adventure and education centre is one of the biggest outdoor activity centres in the South West.

Its 250-acre site is home to more than 20 activities - a one-stop location for adventure - where there's something for everyone.

The centre boasts target sport ranges including floodlit archery, axe throwing and air rifle ranges. Mendip’s instructors will coach you through whichever activity you choose. Children and adults will love Archery Active, the ultimate team combat sport combining all the best bits of paintballing, archery and dodgeball.

There is also a 165m floodlit snowsports slope: The dry snowsport slope is a great place to learn to ski or snowboard. There’s something for complete beginners and experienced skiers or snowboarders. The dedicated toboggan slope is one of Mendip’s most popular activities, available for ages 4+ with special seasonal twists throughout the year.

The centre also has its own private limestone quarry which is the perfect place to try climbing and abseiling with Mendip’s qualified instructors. There are plenty of challenges for experienced climbers too.

Watersports are held on the activity centre's private stretch of the River Wye which is only two minutes from junction 21 on the M5. From there you can go kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, or have a go at raft building or try the challenging assault course.

Mendip’s ancient woodland is home to one of the UK's largest frisbee golf courses. Armed with a frisbee, map and scorecard, participants aim for the metal baskets dotted around the beautiful woodland and rolling Mendip hills in the perfect activity for all ages.

For those wanting something a little more daring, there's the ultimate caving experiences in Somerset: Here, expert guides lead taster caving sessions as well as more extreme adventure caving experiences in some of the regions most famous caves.
