Grove Lodge is under the personal care of Anne and Martin, who are committed to giving their guests a warm welcome and will provide a service to ensure that you get the very best out of your visit to Weston-super-Mare.
All of Grove Lodge's bedrooms have en-suite facilities with colour televisions and hostess trays along with free WiFi. All rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, ensuring you a comfortable stay.
There is a small car park free of charge to the rear of the guest house on a first-come-first-served basis, or there’s on street parking nearby and a pay-and-display public car park adjacent to Grove Lodge.
The full English breakfast is served in a light and airy dining room, sufficient to set you up for the day whether you’re on a business visit or on holiday.
With only 5 bedrooms, you’ll find an intimate guest house where Anne and Martin can take good care of your needs and make you feel like you’re home from home.
The guest house is within a short and level walk of all Weston-super-Mare’s attractions and just a two-minute walk from the two theatres, The Playhouse Theatre and The Blakehay Theatre so it’s perfectly located for you to take in a show and a lovely evening out.
Weston-super-Mare's famous two miles of sandy beach and the long, level promenade, the varied attractions including the Grand Pier, tranquil parks and gardens, pedestrianised shopping centre, two 18-hole golf courses, tennis, putting, amusements and of course the famous donkeys ensure a full and fun day out.
Right next to this traditional bed & breakfast guest house is Grove Park, one of Weston-super-Mare’s prettiest parks with a scented garden, a sensory garden, bug hotel, fish-pond and a listed Victorian bandstand where summer concerts are given on most Sundays. It’s a delightful spot that also houses a memorial garden to the late TV presenter Jill Dando, the town Mayor’s Parlour and a super café that serves home-made cakes and a wide variety of delicious fayre.
Grove Lodge Guest House is located at the beginning of an area called Grove Village, which is full of eateries ranging from vegetarian to kebabs, to high end yet affordable restaurants, cafés, a micro-pub serving a variety of real ales and slightly further along are bars that offer evening entertainment. It has lots of surprises such as a gift shop selling unusual and attractive gifts ideal for those who the most difficult people to buy for.
Grove Village leads to the pedestrianised high street where you’ll find independent shops such as the family-run Walker & Ling department store that has been on Weston-super-Mare’s High Street since the early 1900s as well as a recently refurbished W H Smith that won awards for their work on the traditional frontage.
If you don’t want to drive, there’s plenty to do within walking distance. Spend an hour or two at the award winning Weston Museum. Take in a movie at one of the two cinemas. Amble along the Grand Pier and treat yourselves to a cream tea whilst taking in the panoramic views over the beach, Steep Holm island, the Bristol Channel and Cardiff. Pop into the Lambretta Museum just around the corner from Weston Museum.
If you want to explore other parts of the glorious county of Somerset, there are bus stops are on the Promenade a 5-minute stroll from Grove Lodge where you can take yourselves off to Europe’s largest helicopter museum, Wells, Sand Bay, Brean, Burnham on Sea, Bristol or Cheddar Gorge.
So if you’re looking for things to do, there’s plenty right on the doorstep.
