About Us
Join Weston Choral for an evening of wonderful choral singing. This concert is one of two halves: the first half will celebrate the King's coronation with Handel's glorious coronation anthems (including Zadok the Priest).
In the second section we will have a complete contrast of style when we perform a series of popular sixties classics arranged for choral singing - from Simon and Garfunkel serene songs to Beatles classics. We feature medleys by The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel, but perhaps topping the chart this evening, are two numbers recorded by the late, great Cilla Black. We are thrilled that top British composer Will Todd has arranged 'You're my world' especially for us, and even more thrilled that Jude Darby, a member of Weston Choral, has arranged the lesser known but hidden Lennon and McCartney gem 'It's for you' for the choir.
We are joined by Richard Lennox (accompanist), and a string quartet provided by Ensemble Inspirita. We look forward to welcoming everyone for an evening of wonderful music.
We are led by Huw Morgan, our musical director.
