On Sunday 8 October 2017, Wells Food Festival returns once again to celebrate the best of Somerset’s wonderful local produce from 150 of the area’s best artisan producers.

Tantalising smells and flavours are offered by over 150 producers and street food vendors in the Artisan Market, showcasing a melting pot of a diverse range of food and drinks. For some stall holders, this will be their fifth festival; for others this is their first time. The only condition is that local produce is the main ingredient of their business. As a result, visitors will be able to enjoy some of the best food in the world ranging from artisan cheese and honey through to sushi and Thai, all with Somerset at their heart.

Promoting the area’s rich and diverse artisan food and drink sector – over 150 individual traders showcased their products last year and many reported takings for the day higher than at any other West Country festival. Attracting people of all ages and social groups – over 12,000 people came to last year’s event and 94% of those told researchers that they would come again.
