Discover the thrill of skiing or snowboarding only 20 minutes from Weston-super-Mare. Whether you're dreaming of a snowy mountain holiday, or want to try something new, Mendip Activity Centre's Try Ski and Try Snowboarding lessons are the perfect introduction to these exhilarating winter sports.
Ideal for complete beginners aged 8 and up, these 90-minute sessions are designed to give you a taste of the slopes in a fun, supportive environment. There's no need for a pricey trip abroad to enjoy the thrills of skiing or snowboarding. Simply book a session and spend a festive outing with family and friends on the slope.
Each session begins in the equipment room, where friendly and experienced instructors will meet you and get you kitted out with all the gear you need. Skis, snowboards, boots, helmets, and pads (for snowboarders) are provided, so all you need to bring is:
- A pair of gloves
- Full-length sleeves and trousers
After a short safety briefing, it's time to hit the slopes. Both the Try Ski and Try Snowboarding lessons take place in the gentle beginner area, offering a safe space to get comfortable on the snow.
Maximum group size of eight ensures plenty of one-on-one guidance, so you'll feel confident every step of the way. Whether you're moving around on skis or strapping into a snowboard for the first time, qualified instructors are there to make sure you have an amazing time.
