Mendip Consort, conducted by Joyce Rudall
Mendip Consort are a group of amateur recorder players who have been making music together for about 12 years. This year celebrates the 10th year of Joyce conducting the consort, so we have decided to ‘Cherry pick’ our favourite pieces form the previous 9 seasons of concerts. These include music by Byrd, Purcell, Lawes, Josquin, Parry, Schmelzer, Part and other favourites. The content of each concert will be slightly different this year, but the whole range of recorders will be displayed, including a possible quartet for 4 contra basses.
