The Dig for Victory Show is the festival calendar date for fans of ‘all things vintage’ - This 1940s-themed festival organised entirely by volunteers and now in its fifth consecutive year is set to be bigger and bolder in 2015..
The two-day, family-friendly festival brings together fashion, food, dance, music and vehicle memorabilia built around a ‘Victory Marquee’ and a ‘Home Front Marquee’.
The show celebrates the 'Best of British' and day-to-day life in the 40s.
The show includes: Re-enactors demonstrating what life was like in wartime Britain, exhibitions of original, restored, wartime vehicles including a 1942 Sherman Tank, veterans sharing their stories, traditional craft demonstrations, local food producers, vintage clothing, farmyard animals, traditional fairground rides, a children's trail, dance lessons, live music, historical speakers, cookery demonstrations and much more…..
