Step Back in Time at The Dig For Victory Show
14th & 15th June 2025 | Just outside Weston-super-Mare
Roll back the years and step into the spirit of the 1940s at The Dig For Victory Show—a festival where history isn’t just remembered, it’s relived. Set against the rolling countryside just outside Bristol, this beloved family weekend is a living, breathing tribute to Britain’s wartime home front.
Imagine this:
The distant hum of vintage engines drifts through the summer air. Laughter rings out from the fairground as swing music crackles from an old gramophone. Children march behind dashing reenactors in authentic uniform, waving their ration books and wide-eyed with wonder. The scent of baking scones and bacon baps mingles with the faint smell of engine oil and paraffin. It's not just an event—it’s like stepping through a portal in time.
The Scene is Set: Living History All Around
Wander through wartime Britain recreated in exquisite detail. From the make-do-and-mend Home Front Marquee to field kitchens and traditional farming demos, you’ll meet the characters who kept the country going, brought to life by passionate reenactors.
Marvel at restored tanks and military vehicles, and learn the stories of those who served—with gripping live displays and touching moments of remembrance.
Music, Merriment & Marquees
The Victory Marquee pulses with energy:
DJ UXB keeps spirits high with era-defining tracks on vinyl.
The Liberty Sisters sing their hearts out in perfect harmony.
Join Erica & Clive for a whirl around the dancefloor with free swing dance lessons.
Then raise a toast at the fully stocked bar—cheers to wartime camaraderie!
