About Us

Clevedon Pier, the only Grade 1 Listed Pier you can still visit in England, quoted as ‘the most beautiful pier in England’, by Sir Jon Betjeman, celebrates its 150th Birthday in 2019.

The Pier was first opened in 1869 to receive paddle steamer passengers from Devon and Wales. Today it is a focal point for events in Clevedon and once again you can take boat trips aboard the paddle ship Waverley. Our new Visitor Centre won the Historic England People’s Choice Award in a glittering ceremony held at the Palace Theatre in the West End of London.  The Toll House boasts and exciting and interactive Discover @ The Pier exhibition about the history of Clevedon Pier, and a beautiful Gift Shop.
With a full year-round events programme to suit all ages, there will be something for everyone. Every school holiday our family activity is based around our environment, with learning and recycling being a main focus. We hold regular live music on the Pier, featuring an eclectic mix of Jazz, Country, Folk, Classical and Rock & Roll.

Our Porthole Room function room boats spectacular views of underneath Clevedon Pier and the Severn Estuary. With state-of-the-art facilities it is the perfect place for a business meeting, party or art gallery. We hold regular events in the Porthole Room, such as Yoga, Talks & Presentations and Art and Photography courses.

Clevedon Pier is now a licensed wedding venue, with various option available. Either an intimate setting in the Porthole Room, or at the end of Pier – where else can boast a quarter-of-a-mile aisle!
