About Us

STOGUMBER OPEN GARDENS WEEKEND, 13 – 14 June 2026

On 13 & 14 June, the picturesque Somerset village of Stogumber is hosting a wonderful charity Open Gardens event. This is its 45th year, and in that time it has raised many £1000s for charity. This year all profits go to Children's Hospice South West, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, and St. Mary's Church in Stogumber. Around 12 beautiful gardens, large and small, will be open, along with plant stalls, bric a brac, exhibition and fabulous food in the village hall served all day.

The event is focussed around the village – its gardens, village hall, the skittle alley, and the church. Most of the gardens are within reasonable walking distance of the village hall and car park, though the village is hilly. There are nice walks to outlying gardens, but car parking is available near these for those who prefer to drive. The village is a mile from Stogumber Station (with its own lovely wildlife garden) on the popular West Somerset Railway.

Dogs on leads are welcome in most areas.

10.30am – 5.30pm both days, last orders for food 4pm. £11 for both days (under 16s free).

There is a large, free car park (Station Road, TA4 3TG). (What3Words: payer.self.brew)
