About Us
Following their 'cut throat' performance of Sweeney Todd, WODS Musical Theatre Company returns to The Playhouse stage to entertain audiences with the musical classic, Oliver!
Set in Victorian England it follows the story of a young boy named Oliver who runs away from the workhouse. Travelling through the dark underbelly of London society he meets a group of boys trained to be pick pockets by an elderly mentor, Fagin! When Oliver is falsely accused of a theft he didn’t commit, he is rescued by Mr Brownlow, to the dismay of Fagin’s violent sidekick Bill Sykes. Caught in the middle is the warm-hearted Nancy who is trapped but desperate to help Oliver, with tragic results.
With show stopping numbers such as ‘Food Glorious Food’, ‘Consider Yourself’ and ‘Oom-Pah-Pah’ along with other timeless classics you'll find yourself singing along in your seats.
