About Us

Following on from last year's run-away success 'Made in Dagenham', WODS Musical Theatre Company return to the Blakehay Theatre this November with OH! WHAT A LOVELY WAR.

Set at the dawn of the First World War, the show follows the trials and tribulations of a cast of characters as the period is played out before your eyes.
Highlighting the hypocrisy of the upper classes, this modern classic dishes out humour and tragedy in equal measure. The many familiar songs of the period will have you tapping your feet and backing the Tommies as they face the challenges of the time.

This is a theatrical event with a difference, as WODS prepare to go into battle to mark the centenary of the ending of the Great War. Come and experience theatre like never before.

With a live band on stage in the thick of the action, you will be transported into history as you hear the classics… "Pack up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit-Bag", "Your King and Country", "I'll Make a Man of You", "Oh! It's a Lovely War", "Keep the Home Fires Burning" and many more.
