Support your bin men and women at the National Refuse Championships!
A FREE, fun family day out with live music, fair rides, Kids Zone, Cider bar and refuse vehicle racing!
Drivers and loaders from across the UK, in teams of 5, race against the clock in a test of strength and stamina loading wheelie bins with sandbags then pushing them 50m into awaiting refuse vehicles. The truck moves forward and the whole process is repeated as the vehicle moves towards the finish line. Up to 32 teams will compete in heats throughout the day culminating in a semi-final and final to determine the winner and runners-up!
It's very competitive and huge fun to watch.
