Specializing in the lesser-known medium of pyrography, Ruth combines woodburning with drawing and painting to create stunning pieces of art. Pyrography involves using a heated wire tool to scorch and scar the surface of bare wood, resulting in unique and intricate mark-making.
Ruth's talent has been recognized through numerous exhibitions across the South West and Devon, including prestigious shows such as Horses in Art in London. Her dedication to her craft was rewarded with the Best Portrait Award in Bruton, Somerset, and she recently received the Best in Show accolade for a portrait at the RWA Friends Exhibition in Bristol.
