About Us

Magenta play an entertaining mix of traditional and contemporary music plus a broad selection of original music written by the band members.

Magenta were a successful folk band based around Weston Super Mare in the 1970s and 1980s, eventually disbanding in 1985. After a gap of nearly 25 years, Magenta got together again and played two successful reunion concerts at the Blakehay Theatre back in 2009. They are returning by popular demand for another 2-night visit in 2016.
