About Us
Join Theatre Orchard Youth Seniors drama group for a special showcase performance looking at life and death through the all-revealing and unflinching lens of young people.
Laugh When You Think of Me features 15-year-old Jessie. She likes animation, pineapple on pizza, her pet rats and not tidying her bedroom. Jessie likes creating worlds and escaping into them.
Jessie is also dying.
One windy Weston night, Jessie finds herself transported to a mysterious island where nothing ever dies, and no one understands what death means. Should she stay forever?
Through ensemble storytelling, spoken word, music and puppetry, Theatre Orchard Youth Seniors members explore death, grief, legacy and memory.in this performance which forms part of Culture Weston's Good Grief Weston Festival.
In line with many of their events, this is a pay-what-you-decide event bookable through www.ticketsource.co.uk/theatre-orchard/theatre-orchard-youth-theatre-double-bill/e-qpeagr
