Discover the beauty of the Mendip Hills on a 2-hour guided walk through the stunning 250-acre Mendip Activity Centre site - just a short journey from Weston-super-Mare. Led by Nathan Orr, Nature Recovery Ranger for the Mendip Hills National Landscape, this guided walk offers a rare chance to explore ancient woodland, wildflower meadows, and historic quarries with one of the region's leading wildlife experts.

A Unique Wildlife Experience
This isn't just a walk - it's an immersive journey into one of Somerset's most captivating natural landscapes. With butterflies in full flight, birds in song, and brambles buzzing with life, the 23rd June walk celebrates the wonders of early summer. Along the way, Nathan shares fascinating insights into the landscape's seasonal highlights and hidden habitats.

What to Expect
A gentle 3-4km walk with regular stops to explore natural highlights

Uneven and occasionally steep terrain – visitors are advised to check accessibility info or contact the centre with any questions

Suitable for curious minds aged 14+ (younger children welcome if keenly interested in nature)

Make a Day of It
Before or after the walk, visitors can relax at The Alpine Lounge, a cosy café-bar on site, offering hot drinks, snacks, and light lunches. Guests are also welcome to bring their own refreshments.

All walks begin at the Mendip Activity Centre reception, set on the edge of the Mendip Hills National Landscape.
