This fantastic professional show is a celebration of the life and hits of Frankie Vaughan starring Johnny Tudor with full supporting company.
Frankie was born in Liverpool in 1928 and died in 1999. His career is legendary, he topped the bill at every major British theatre, appeared in Las Vegas, signed a five-year film deal in Hollywood and had chart topping success. This show pays tribute to the man who became one of the most successful performers that Britain has ever produced and he was known as “Mr Moonlight”.
The show features many of Frankie’s greatest hits including… Green Door, Cabaret, Man on Fire and many more.
Johnny Tudor was bought up in show business and has embraced all forms of the business in his rich and varied career, appearing in musical comedy, pantomime, drama, television, radio & film. He came to prominence when he appeared on ‘Opportunity Knocks’, which he went on to win four times and led him to signing a five-year recording contract with President Records. The following year saw him star in the west end musical ‘Cindy’ at the fortune theatre, winning the Gibraltar Song Festival and appearing with Dorothy Squires at the London Palladium. Johnny has appeared many times on television for BBC, Thames, HTV and Yorkshire TV. More recently Johnny has turned to straight acting, directing and writing. He wrote a drama on the life of Dorothy Squires with Meic Povey which was successfully produced by Sherman theatre Cymru starring Ruth Madoc and has appeared in the successful sitcom Gavin & Stacey for the BBC and in Stella for Ruth Jones on Sky.
