LADIES in Weston looking for free fitness tips are invited to a special event next month (April, 2015) at a local sports store.Intersport Tony Pryce Sports in Weston-super-Mare will be hosting a female-focussed fitness event from 5.30pm until 8pm on Wednesday, April 1 and will have experts offering advice and a free goody bag for attendees.
Gemma Wilkins, Manager of the store on High Street, said: “We wanted to host events for the women of this town to get them excited about sports and fitness.
“With the recent success in women’s sport, such as the England Rugby World Cup win and Jessica Ennis-Hill’s rise to fame, participation numbers are seeing a huge increase at the moment. We want to make sure ladies are getting the best advice possible when it comes to which kit and equipment they should be buying to prevent injuries.
“We’ve joined up with some of our suppliers to do some demonstrations and give out some free goody bags to attendees.”
There will be fitness demonstrations from staff at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre and representatives from Runderwear and Footbalance will be on hand to offer some product and fitness advice, including analysing your running stance to prevent future injuries.
The goody bags, which will be given to the first 50 attendees, feature some useful sporting accessories, such as water bottles and energy supplements as well as vouchers for future discounts.
Gemma added: “Our guests will also have up to 15% off a range of our products on the night and will have the chance to enter our competition to win a selection of fitness goodies.”
The ladies-only fitness event will run on Wednesday, April 1 from 5.30pm to 8pm at Intersport Tony Pryce Sports, which is located at 72/74, High Street in Weston-super-Mare.
