Opus Anglicanum's final Wells Cathedral concert under the directorship of founder, John Rowlands-Pritchard, featuring beautiful music and readings for the Feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the beautiful candlelit surroundings of Wells Cathedral Quire. A celebration of the Annunciation in the music of Byrd, Obrecht, Greek Orthodox Chant, Gregorian Chant, J S Bach and Tallis. A narrative context is from Angelus Silesius, Denise Levertov, Elizabeth Jennings, Edwin Muir, and Mother Julian of Norwich, and a description of the 14th century Annunciation ceremony in Padua CathedralGuide Prices
