About Us
History Week is back this February Half Term! Come and explore the past from the dinosaurs up to the world wars, with hands on activity sessions and amazing reenactors. Each weekday we have activity sessions in our Learning Space exploring different eras:
Monday – Dino Dig
Tuesday – Stone Age Art
Wednesday – Roman Invasion
Thursday – The Victorians
Friday – World Wars
Workshop times: 11-12 and 1-2
On Monday, we will also be joined for the day by some full size dinosaurs in our Courtyard area. Come and have your picture taken with an (almost!) real dinosaur!
Session tickets cost £5 per child and can be purchased via Ticketsource or by calling or popping in to the museum. Pre-booking recommended. There is no cost for entry to the Courtyard area to meet our tame dinosaurs.
These sessions are most suitable for children of school age and their grown-ups, but are accessible to all ages and abilities with adult support. Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a separate ticket.
