About Us

Tides Festival supporting Marlens Charity (18-20 Sept 2015) is an event for everyone to celebrate Clevedon, with a live music stage and family fun.

Clevedon Tides FESTIVAL 2015
18th -20th September is a 3-day event at Clevedon sea-front, on Salthouse Field and Clevedon Marine Lake.

Admission is free - Over 7,000 visitors last year.

Friday is “Schools Day” when local schoolchildren are invited to sample a range of activities:
On the lake, rafting, canoeing, sailing, gigging, paddle boards and “ zorbing” plus making and sailing a model boat, and on the field, a climbing wall, football skills and dance fitness.

Saturday and Sunday we have bouncy castles and slides, children's gym, climbing wall, classic and vintage vehicles. On the lake there will be have-a-go for young and old at sailing, canoeing, zorbing, and driving radio-controlled model boats, plus demonstrations of model powerboat racing.

We have contributions from local artists, along the seafront and in the marquee. Clevedon Community Bookshop and our Community Curzon Cinema and Arts Centre will both be contributing events.

Saturday (10am-10pm) and Sunday (12pm-6pm) continue with music, dance, displays and attractions. Traders set up stalls around the arena for the daytime.

On Saturday afternoon there will be “It’s a Family knock-out”, dance routines and our new exciting PUSHBALL competition plus other arena displays.
Fireworks are set alight over the Marine Lake as soon as it gets dark, followed by more music until 10pm. A collection for MARLENS is held during the evening.

On Sunday there is a Raft Race on the lake and a Tug of War between local teams.
