Christmas at Bishops Palace

About

Christmas at the Palace returns this year - join us for a fortnight of beautiful decorations and festivities.

•    Interior of the Palace; a variety of styles with hand-made Victorian style decorations,

•    Illumination within the Palace building.

•    Many of the decorations will be sourced from the Palace Gardens, using seasonal greenery and foliage.

•    The stunning medieval fireplace in the Entrance Hall will greet visitors and there will be a range of different Christmas trees kindly supplied by Mendip Christmas Trees.

•    8th & 9th - Father Christmas will take up residence in the Long Gallery, along with his wife Mother Christmas! As all the slots sold out last year, visitors should make sure to book tickets early (there is an additional charge to visit Father Christmas, details below).  Tickets are bookable at www.bishopspalace.org.uk

•    There will be Christmas carols in the Chapel from a range of different local musicians, and Wells Theatre Company will return with ‘A Christmas Carol’ with more actors, bringing the timeless tale to life in a wholly unique way, with costumed storytelling by the fire.

•    Mulled wine, mince pies and children’s drinks will be on sale and there will be special Family Christmas Craft sessions at intervals throughout the weekend, including the chance to make some beautiful Christmas decorations.

•    All activities except for the Father Christmas visits are included in standard admission. Father Christmas tickets are £5 per child and must be accompanied by an adult with admission ticket.
