About Us

We're turning the clock back over a hundred years for a very Victorian Christmas at Tyntesfield...

How will the estate look this year?
There'll be decorations from 3 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, handmade over the past few years by our Christmas volunteer fairies scattered across the outdoors. Wherever possible, they've used recycled items or elements from the estate. The grandest Christmas tree of all will be outside the house, and there will be more dotted around the estate for you to spot.

How will the house look this year?
Thursday- Monday, the house will be home to the Gibbs family dressed in their Victorian finery, with a ‘wild’ twist. Look out for all the animal decorations that celebrate the biodiversity that Tyntesfield has across the estate. Room guides in Victorian costume will be on hand, sharing facts about life in a Victorian country house at Christmas, the history of National Trust and wildlife on the estate. Tuesdays and Wednesdays will also be dedicated quiet days in the house, where visitors can choose to enjoy a gentler setting, with all the decorations present but without actors.

Where to get tickets
All house tickets for Christmas 2022 at Tyntesfield will be available on the day of your visit from the Home Farm area of the estate. We will have staggered release times throughout the day to ensure the best availability for our visitors.
