About Us

This summer, loveable pals Wallace and Gromit are coming to Bristol Zoo for A Grand Day Out and you're invited!

From 20 July to 13 October, take on our cracking 'Trainee Zookeeper' trail starring Aardman's beloved duo, plus model making workshops* and more.

Wallace & Gromit 'Trainee Zookeeper' trail
Daily - included in admission

Join everyone's favourite eccentric inventor and his trusted canine pal as they discover what it takes to look after the amazing animals here at the Zoo. Collect your Trainee Keeper Handbook when you arrive, then help Wallace and Gromit with fun tasks including designing an animal enclosure and recording animal behaviour. At the end you'll earn your Qualified Keeper sticker and there's a chance to win a real keeper experience!

Younger visitors have a very special job. Criminal mastermind Feathers McGraw has escaped from prison and is hiding around the Zoo. Count how many times you spot Feathers, and help bring this sinister penguin to justice.

Model making workshops*
Online booking for workshops will open soon for the following dates:
July 29, August 5, 16, 27, September 28 and October 13
(11am, 1pm and 3pm)
*Additional charges apply – advanced booking is highly recommended.

These fun, hands-on sessions let you get creative! Make your own Gromit, Feathers McGraw or Shaun the Sheep with the help of one of Aardman's expert model makers, then take your new model home with you. Fancy some cheese, lad?

Other activities to be confirmed.
