Weston Operatic Society is proud to present the 'Dolly Parton' musical, 9 to 5.Based on the film of the same name, the stage version first appeared in Los Angeles in 2008 where it won a best musical award for Dolly Parton herself, and also an award for best choreography. In 2009 it transferred to Broadway and recently to the West End where it's current run has been extended.
The story, filled with comedy, romance and toe tapping tunes, centres around the downtrodden working lives of three women,Violet, Judy and Doralee, who together form a friendship and strive to create a work place filled with equal opportunity and equal pay and prove that it's not just a 'man's world'.
