About Us
The Fork 'n' Ale is a cracking town centre pub combining landlord Andy's passion for real ale and home cooked food in a welcoming environment.
The boozer prides itself on its wide choice of real ales which are locally and nationally handcrafted ensuring there is plenty of choice at the pumps including dark wheat beer Weihenstephan and red ales, lagers and pale ales from Meantime brewery.
But it is not just pint sinkers who are in for a treat here, The Fork 'n' Ale also has a marvellous gin shelf with a range of 24 gins from the classic London dries to rhubarb and ginger as well as special guests. There's also a great selection of changing rums as well as an extensive wine list and coffees for those who prefer china to a glass.
Whatever you fancy, drinks are served by a super-friendly team and the pub has the most comfortable of sofas to sink into - you can even bring the dog.
Foodies are as welcome here as ale connoisseurs. The Forkers chefs have carved out a deserved and enviable reputation for their diverse range of mouthwatering dishes created with locally sourced ingredients. From hearty pub classics to tempting fusion cuisine, the pub's menu caters for a variety of tastes as well as being a firm favourite with fans of a Sunday Roast. If you haven't had a Fork 'n' Ale roast yet, then make sure you do.
And if you still want more, the pub puts on a good range of entertainment from live music nights featuring talented local artists to themed trivia and quiz nights.
