About Us
For the first time ever and for one-day only, the world's fastest helicopter, G-Lynx is going to meet a land speed record holder, when The Vampire Jet Car goes on display beside it at The Helicopter Museum as part of ‘The Clevedon Cars and Copters’ mega transport event on Saturday, May 24th.
The event will see dozens of vintage vehicles, modern performance cars and historic curiosities on public display for one day only around the Airfield Control Tower and inside the museum exhibition hangars. Highlights of the day include dragster displays on the airfield taxiway and live music performed by ‘The Groove Jacks’ from atop the control tower itself.
Some of the more unusual cars on display include a “Starsky & Hutch” Torino, a “Smokey & The Bandit” TransAm, and a “Back to The Future” DeLorean.
The charity fundraising event is a collaboration between The Helicopter Museum and ‘Clevedon Cars and Coffee’ and promises to be an event that no transport enthusiast would want to miss. With a wide selection of vehicles on display there will be plenty to see as well as the worlds largest collection of helicopters, many of which will be opened up by Museum Tour guides for Open Cockpit Sessions on the day.
