There are several public toilets in Weston-super-Mare along the seafront, in the town centre and in the parks. See our map below for the full guide.
There is a charge of 20p per person, per visit to use them. You can pay with five pence pieces, ten pence pieces or 20 pence coins. The machines do not give change.
You can also pay with a contactless card at the Tropicana, The Atlantic and The Victorian Café blocks. The latter two are also staffed facilities and the attendant will give change, providing you are not exchanging notes.
All the seafront toilets offer baby changing facilities and the majority are suitable for disabled users.
For baby changing, the Royal Sands has male and female facilities. The Atlantic has the facilities in the ladies and unisex block, while at the Victorian Café, they are situated in the ladies and disabled toilets. At Marine Lake they are found in the unisex toilets.
Disabled users can use the majority of seafront facilities with the exception of the block at Royal Sands while the building opposite the Grand Atlantic Hotel is too narrow for most wheelchair users.
The town hall and library building has large specialist facilities in its Changing Places changing room, complete with its non-slip floor. The facilities include a hoist to the ceiling, (you will need your own sling), a height adjustable adult-sized bench, a Peninsular toilet, a height-adjustable washbasin and an emergency alarm. This facility is managed and locked. You will need a radar key to access it. There is disabled parking in the NCP opposite and if you require more details call 01934 888 888.
Radar key users can also make free use of the facilities at the Tropicana building, although these facilities are seasonal. Radar keys should be universal, however, if you do not have one, they can be purchased from the town hall except on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Toilet opening times vary through the seasons. For example, those on the Tropicana, which open at 10am in the summer, are subject to seasonal opening hours and, apart from on event-days, are closed out-of- season. Generally, the toilets at Royal Sands and at Marine Lake will open from 8am until 7pm while those at the Victorian Café will be open from 8am until 9pm. There are also free toilets and baby changing facilities at the Sovereign Shopping centre during opening hours.
North Somerset Council issue reduced-price toilet passes for children on official school trips only. To book call 01934 626982.
In addition to the toilets facilities in the town, there are also free showers on the seafront. These are found on the sand at the back of the lavatory blocks at the Victorian Café and on the block opposite The Atlantic.
