About Us
Come and watch Weston's lifeboat crews being given the freedom of the town in a parade along the town's seafront.
Since Weston-super-Mare lifeboat station was founded in 1882, the brave crews have launched 2,269 times and saved 477 lives.
And in this, the 200th anniversary of the RNLI they are being honoured with a parade and ceremony on Sunday, March 10 at 4.30pm.
The parade will leave from the lifeboat station on Knightstone Plaza and proceed along the seafront to the Grand Pier where Rear Admiral Ian Moncrieff, Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset, Robert Drewett, High Sheriff of Somerset, Councillor Ciaran Cronnelly, Mayor and Councillor John Crockford-Hawley, Deputy Mayor will take the salute by the pier entrance.
All are welcome to turn out to support these incredible people.
