About Us

There will be a lighting of the Uphill Beacon at 9.15pm on Thursday, June 6 to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

The lighting as part of an international beacon display spanning the Normandy beaches and around the UK. Uphill’s Beacon will be lit by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Somerset on behalf of the King.
