Orchard Meadows is the affectionate name given to a criss-cross of streets full of independent businesses in the vicinity of Orchard Street and Meadow Street. Jam packed with independent traders selling everything from walking and camping gear to hand made crafts, jewellery, games and train sets, alternative clothing and gifts, party and fancy dress wear and much, much more. Walking from the Seafront is only a 5 minute walk and from Weston High Street less than a minute walk, so whichever way you find us will be easy.
Orchard Meadows is a treasure trove of unusual shopping offering a real diversity of products and is only short stroll from Weston-super-Mare’s iconic Grand Pier and Promenade and just beyond the High Street with its mainstream shops.
Take the weight off your feet and try a range of eateries such as The Atlantic Fish Bar or a selection of European cafés whilst you enjoy exploring the independent shops.
In Burlington Street is the Weston Museum, open from August 2017 after a nearly £2 million refurbishment on the historic building. The museum is free to enter and offers a lovely café and gift shop too.
Start your tour at Big Lamp Corner with its cafés, jewellery shop, pet shop and traditional bakers, butchers and grocers all together. Stroll along Meadow Street for hand made fudge, games & models, vintage toys including Lego, anything you need to be Outdoors and Active or even to have your laptop repaired, there really is something for everyone.
There is on-street parking available for a small charge and there are car parks nearby. Please take note of the signs and park sensibly, there are parking wardens on patrol. There are plenty of bus stops just across from Big Lamp Corner, only a couple of hundred metres from Orchard Meadows.
