Clara’s Café is situated in the heart of Weston Museum and aims to be a space which is inclusive to all. Our guests can enjoy a safe and welcoming atmosphere whilst taking in the stunning views of the Museum courtyard.
Weston Museum and Clara’s Café are family friendly and cater for all ages. Through inspiration, learning and enjoyment, you can explore the galleries and exhibits to understand the past and ask questions about the present and the future. Weston Museum is community orientated as well as offering a delightful environment where you can enjoy a wander around our exhibitions, take part in our events or enjoy a delicious lunch in Clara’s Café. Both Weston Museum and Clara’s Café are part of the Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme and have an area specifically for the under 5’s.
Here at Clara’s Café we are fortunate to have the support of volunteers, who give up their time for free to ensure our guests have an enjoyable experience. We are proud of our inclusive volunteer policy which encourages people from all walks of life to come and join our diverse team and ask our visitors to respect this.
As with our unique gift shop, Clara’s Café strives to use local suppliers where possible. As Weston Museum tells the story of Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding area, we aspire to do the same with Clara’s Cafe. We currently use a selection of local suppliers such as Bristol Twenty for our Triple Certified Espresso Coffee, the Somerset based Hullabaloos for their tasty range of lemonades and even our bottled water comes from Cheddar.
Clara’s Café aspires to become a real destination café in Weston and already offers an expanding range of vegan and vegetarian options across the menu. We also offer decaf options for our coffee and you can even choose between regular, soya or hemp milk for your latte or cappuccino.
But wait, there’s more! Clara’s Café can also provide a range of catering options for your events. This is particularly handy when hiring our one of the museum’s unique hire spaces as lunch can be prepared for you. For more information on our catering offer please contact susan.goodridge@wsm-tc.gov.uk.
