Discover a different side of Weston-super-Mare at You Can Sauna, a wood-fired sauna beside Marine Lake where anyone can give it a go, warm up, cool off and enjoy spectacular views from the most unusual of locations!
Curious? Come and Give it a Go
There’s a little black box beside Marine Lake that is well worth opening. Inside is You Can Sauna, Weston’s wood-fired sauna by the water – and it’s a fabulous place to discover what all the fuss about sauna is about.

You don’t have to be a seasoned sauna-goer. You don’t have to be a cold-water swimmer. You just need to be prepared to chill out in the warm! There’s no obligation to come back. Try it once and you may just be bitten by the bug!
The warmest of welcomes awaits
Inside, it’s cosy, friendly and… very warm. The log-fired stove takes the temperature to around 85–95°C, while the two-tiered benches give everyone a comfortable spot and a great view out across the lake. The view is a draw at anytime but evenings – sitting relaxing in the glow of the log burner – take watching Weston’s famous sunsets to an altogether different level of experience.

Leave your ego at the door
Forget everything you think you know about sauna etiquette. Leave your ego at the door. There’s no prize for lasting the longest. Listen to your body, take a break whenever you fancy and do as little – or as much – as you like. With a 55-minute booking, you can go in and out as often as you want.
And when you need to cool down, Marine Lake is literally on the doorstep. The lake is always full of water, whatever the tide, so you can take a dip and then head back into the heat.

Or enjoy the shower next to the sauna. There’s no rule saying you have to get in the lake!
Sauna hats are available too, helping to keep your head cooler while the rest of you enjoys the heat.

Perhaps the best thing about You Can Sauna, though, is that it doesn’t feel overly serious. People come on their own. Friends come together. Sea swimmers meet up. Visitors drop in to try something new. There’s chatting, laughing and plenty of relaxing.
And outside, there’s the lake, the sea air and those famous Weston views and sunsets.
Chill out in the heat
No phones are allowed. There’s no alcohol either. This is a place to chill out in the heat! It’s a 55 minute invitation to slow down, warm up, cool off and enjoy being somewhere rather lovely while giving your body and your mental health a booster.
Arrive stressed, leave relaxed

Sauna has been linked with a range of physical and mental well-being benefits, including relaxation, cardiovascular health, brain health, muscle recovery and sleep.
But perhaps you don’t need to know all that. Maybe you just need to know that you can walk into the little black box feeling tense and flustered… and walk out feeling blissed out.
