With more than 40 bands spread over a multitude of venues, this free festival is not to be missed. Spread across a variety of bars and venues in the town centre and with a centre stage at the Italian Gardens. Entry to all venues is free although donations into the charity buckets will be appreciated. Both the RNLI and The Lions Club will benefit from your kind donations.
In addition to the musicians, there will be pirate crews invading Weston-Super-Mare. Why not dress as your favourite pirate and join in the fun?!
And if you want the full authentic experience, groups like the Brave Marauders are great to watch because they come dressed in full pirate and seafaring costumes.
Sea Shanty timetable 2026
The 2026 Weston-super-Mare Sea Shanty and Folk Festival kicks off at 5.45pm on the main stage in the Italian Gardens on Friday, July 31. The weekend-long free party then spills out into pubs and bars across the town as well as more performances in the Italian Gardens.
