Weston Super Mare
Weston-Super-Mare is a seaside resort, located on the Bristol Channel coast at the gateway to the South West of England .
Weston-super-Mare beach is one of the longest and naturally occurring beaches in the UK.
It is a long, sandy beach that has a large tidal range.
Tens of thousands of tourists flock to Weston each month to enjoy the golden sands, and in the winter, the beach is still popular with walkers and those who wish to brave outdoor water sports and kite surfing, which is a very popular activity carried out at the Uphill Sands end of the beach.
Many events are held on Weston-super-Mare beach and seafront throughout the year, which include the Pro Nationals, Weston Beach Race, Weston-super-Mare Air Festival and music concerts and events which have, in the past, included T4 On The Beach, Corona SunSets and South West Live.
In addition to the sand and sea, Weston-super-Mare beach has many traditional seaside occupations to offer: donkey rides, children's rides, the Grand Pier, Weston SeaQuarium and The Bay, located at the former iconic Tropicana Lido, which was home to Banksy's Dismaland exhibition during the summer of 2015, bringing thousands of national and international visitors to the resort.
Weston has lots of opportunities for cups of tea, fish and chips, candy floss, ice-cream, and more defined cuisine along the seafront.
There are also many beach front shops that sell postcards, kites, buckets and spades all well positioned along the clean and tidy promenade.
The local council keep the beach clean and local amenities up to full service to ensure that everyone's visit will be remembered fondly.
Once again, Weston-super-Mare beach has passed the water quality testing as "Good" for 2015.
Please note, DO NOT try to cross to any land mass across the Mud, YOU WILL get stuck!
Every year our local Coastguards rescue tourists who cross the line and enter into the mud.
Our beach is completely safe for all ages as long as the warning signs are adhered to
