About Us
Modern Choral Classics'Modern Choral Classics' is the title given to Weston Choral Society's concert on Saturday 25th November at 7.30 pm at All Saints' church, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 2NL. Under their director of music, Howard Sayer, the choir will perform such well-loved pieces from the last 50 years, such as 'The Lord is my Shepherd' (Vicar of Dibley theme), the Beatles' 'Here, there and everywhere' and 'The long and winding Road', as well as Eric Whitacre's 'Seal lullaby' and a beautiful setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Bob Chilcott, originally written for Evensong at Hereford Cathedral as part of the Three Choirs Service in 2015.
This will be a wonderful concert in the superb acoustic of All Saints, with children from Worle Village Primary School taking part, and Richard Lennox accompanying on organ and piano. Tickets cost £11 on the door, or from westonchoral.org.uk/coming-soon/
