Join ProDog for a high-energy, canine experience weekend designed for dogs and the people who love them. ProDog Beach Fest 2026 brings together have-a-go activities, expert-led education, family entertainment, and charity fundraising across two unforgettable days on the Weston-super-Mare seafront.
Visitors can take part in canicross, agility, flyball, dock diving, scent detection, dog-and-owner assault course, alongside live demonstrations, wellness clinics, nutrition advice, behavioural talks, and hands-on experiences designed to improve canine health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
The festival also features a puppy zone, family activities, shopping village, food vendors, wellbeing spaces, and opportunities to meet leading canine professionals and welfare organisations.
All proceeds support RSPCA North Somerset Branch and Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary, helping fund rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming work for dogs in need.

Owner and dog fun run
Start the festival weekend the way your dog would choose to: running along the Weston-Super-Mare seafront, with the coast ahead of you and a good cause behind every stride.
The fun run takes place at 8am on 15 & 16 August, before the main festival opens. Whether you are an experienced canicross runner, a first-time 1km walker, or anything in between, there is a distance for you.
The 1km and 3km routes are open to all abilities, including walkers and those new to canicross. The 5km is recommended for experienced runners only. If you are new to running with your dog, it’s advisable to start with the shorter distances.
All runners welcome, with or without a dog! Registration for this event begins at 7am.
Dog & Owner Assault Course
Think you and your dog make a good team? Prove it. Navigate the assault course together, over, under, through, and around, and find out just how well you really communicate when there’s an obstacle in the way. It’s challenging, chaotic, and ridiculously fun.
Agility
Navigate tunnels, jumps, and weave poles with your dog in a hands-on agility session designed for all abilities. No experience needed. Throughout the day, experienced handlers will run live demonstrations showcasing advanced techniques, precision handling, and the kind of teamwork that takes your breath away.
Flyball
High-speed, high-energy, and impossible not to get swept up in. Dogs race over hurdles to trigger a ball release before sprinting back. It’s fast, fun, and utterly addictive. Try it out with your dog in various “have a go” sessions, or grab a spot to watch expert teams compete in relay action.
Dock Diving
Dogs. Water. Spectacular leaps. Dock diving is exactly as brilliant as it sounds. Dogs launch off a platform into the water, competing for distance and height. Guided sessions are available so your dog can try it safely, and throughout the day you’ll see demonstration jumps that’ll have the crowd on their feet.
Scent Detection
Put your dog’s most powerful tool to work. Scent detection activities engage natural instincts in a focused, rewarding way. Dogs learn to follow and identify specific scents under expert supervision. Mentally stimulating, confidence-building, and endlessly watchable. Demonstrations from trained scent-detection dogs will show just how extraordinary the canine nose really is.
Competition Zone
Bring your dog’s bragging rights. The Competition Zone runs fun, feel-good challenges throughout the day, including a fetch knockout tournament and fastest recall. It’s friendly competition at its finest, and a chance to celebrate what makes your dog brilliant.
