About Us
Winner of “Best Luxury Guest House in Weston-super-Mare 2016” at the LUX International Hotel Awards, Oakover Guest House is a six bedroom family run Bed & Breakfast, run by resident proprietor Simon Robinson.
Situated in a quiet location on level ground we are only 200 metres from the beach, beach lawns, recreational parks, local shops, restaurants & churches. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to the town centre, Shopping, Playhouse Theatre, Cinema, Golf Course, Pubs & Clubs & an extensive range of Restaurants, some of which we have negotiated discounts with for our guests. The local coach & train stations are only half a mile away and we are 3 miles from M5 junction 21 and 15 miles from Bristol Airport.
Oakover Guest House offers superb accommodation on both ground and first floors. We have put in a great deal of attention to detail and effort into creating rooms that are peaceful, relaxing, elegant and perfectly finished. We offer a choice of Standard, Luxury & Superior double rooms, all furnished and finished to a high standard and we are proud to be rated by the AA with 4 Gold Stars. All rooms en suite, with 32" colour LCD television with freeview (that also play DVD/CDs), tea/coffee making facilities, fresh bottled water (replenished daily), wireless internet, hair dryers, iron/ironing board, fridge, radio alarms, hand and bath towels and many other 'home from home' extras. Free on-site parking is available for all our guests.
Room 1 (ground floor), a very spacious king-size or twin bedded superior bedroom with en-suite shower.
Room 2 (first floor), a large luxury modern double bedroom with en-suite Jacuzzi style bath and shower.
Room 3 (first floor), a large luxury modern double bedroom with an 'in bedroom feature bath' & en suite toilet & hand basin, perfectly combining traditional and contemporary features, for a relaxing and romantic stay.
Room 4 (first floor), a very comfortable luxury double bedroom with en-suite corner bath and shower.
Room 5 (first floor), an extremely inviting luxury double bedroom with en-suite corner bath and shower. Absolute indulgence!
Room 6 (ground floor) - standard double bedroom with en suite shower, smaller than our other rooms, but still very pleasant and comfortable with some beautiful original features.
Enjoy breakfast in our recently refurbished and modern dining room from our newly updated extensive highly recommended breakfast menu offering:
- fresh fruit juices, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals & porridge.
- A selection of teas (decaffeinated, earl grey, green teas & fruit teas) or ground coffee.
- Toast (a choice of white, wholemeal, granary or mixed) served with a selection of preserves.
- English Breakfast (sausage, bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomato, with free range eggs (fried, poached or scrambled)
- Vegetarian and/or Gluten free breakfasts.
- Kipper Fillets topped with a free range poached egg.
- baked beans / tomatoes / mushrooms / free range eggs on hot buttered white / wholemeal / granary toast.
- Omelette made with 3 free range eggs and your choice of filling & garnished with a grilled tomato.
- Boiled eggs, prepared either soft or hard and served hot buttered white, wholemeal or granary toast.
- Bacon Sandwich served on hot buttered white, wholemeal or granary bread/ toast.
If you're off out for the day we also offer Luxury picnic service and if you're in need of something to eat later in the day we offer a delicious homemade Sandwich service until 7pm.
Late checkout may be requested at £10.00 per hour (subject to availability) & Breakfast in bed at £5.00 per person (please book before 9pm the previous night).
