About Us

Welcome to Milton Lodge Weston-super-Mare!

The owners of Milton Lodge, husband and wife team Paul & Wendy Hoare, bought the property in 2015 and have continuously restored and upgraded the beautiful Victorian villa to a very high standard.  Milton Lodge has been trading for many years and under Paul & Wendy's ownership has gained 5 star certificate of excellence on Trip Advisor, for three years running.

Paul and Wendy live on site and are always happy to give advice on getting the most out of your visit to Weston-super-Mare.

Their ethos is “arrive as strangers and leave as friends” and they are fortunate to enjoy a high number of repeat visitors.

Milton Lodge is a lovely find, it’s set on Milton Road which is slightly inland from the seafront but within an easy stroll to restaurants, shops and a level walk into the town and beach.  For those who prefer not to walk, it’s on the Number 7 bus route that takes only a few minutes to the seafront. There’s also the added bonus of free parking for up to six cars at the property, so you could arrive there and leave the car where it is until you depart, a real bonus!

All rooms in the lovely Victorian villa are en-suite and have tea and coffee facilities and all the mod cons you would expect, such as flat screen TV’s and hair dryers, making Milton Lodge very homely and welcoming.

All room bookings include a delicious continental breakfast.  A cooked breakfast can be pre-arranged at an additional cost should you wish.  Paul and Wendy would like to know about any special dietary requirements in advance, so please mention at the time of booking if this affects you.

Next to the breakfast room is a gorgeous guest lounge with comfortable sofas and a large, flat-screen TV where you can sit with friends or just chill out.  It’s a lovely perk, very few guest houses can offer such a lovely room – ideal if you are travelling with friends or family and much more comfortable than sitting in a hotel room.

There’s one ground floor room that has twin electric beds, a seated shower and handrails in the shower room.  Whereas it’s not classified as a disabled room, it is excellent for those with reduced mobility and it’s close to the Victorian double porchway so is not far to go once you’re inside.  It’s also right opposite the guest lounge and diagonally opposite the breakfast room.

Upstairs there are four further bedrooms set off a large landing, on which there’s an iron and ironing board for guest use.  One room has a bathtub, the others have showers

The studio has a super-king sized bed and a separate kitchenette along with a lovely bathroom.  Refurbished and redecorated in 2019, the studio is available for three-night minimum bookings and is perfect for longer stays, romantic breaks or long weekends.

This charming guest house is very close to Milton Cemetery, which has acres to stroll around.  Spot the grave of Alfred Leete, who painted the famous World War 2 poster of Kitchener “Your Country Needs YOU”, do some wildlife spotting and bird watching.  Some of the trees planted in 1856 are still there today and the Monkey Puzzle Tree was once the best known specimen in Britain

You can check availability by clicking the “Visit” button above, that will link you to the Milton Lodge website.  Alternatively, you can contact Paul and Wendy directly, details also on their website.  Please bear in mind that they have a minimum stay of 2 nights, (3 nights in the Studio).
